Introduction to the Annual International Forum on Higher Education The Annual International Forum on Higher Education (AIFHE) has been held 19 times successively since 2001. Focusing on the significant theoretical and practical issues of higher education reform and development, AIFHE has played a leading role in theoretical research on higher education in China and provided decision-making and advisory services for its reform and development. It has become an international academic event recognized by scholars of higher education, formed a brand effect, and attracted great attention from domestic and foreign government agencies and scholars. AIFHE has brought together a large number of renowned experts and scholars in higher education research around the world, as well as education administrative departments and presidents of universities, with a cumulative attendance of more than 10,000 participants. AIFHE has a wide international influence, attracting hundreds of experts and scholars from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Finland, Russia, Japan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Georgia, OECD and other countries (regions) and international organizations. With the aim to cultivate and support new forces for the research of higher education, the “Doctoral Candidates Forum” has been established since 2003 and has been held for 17 consecutive years in AIFHE. In order to promote the exchange of university presidents at home and abroad, the “University Presidents Forum” will be established from 2020. 

“高等教育国际论坛年会”简介 “高等教育国际论坛年会”自2001年以来,已成功举办19届。每届论坛都围绕高等教育改革发展重大理论与实践问题展开,发挥了引领中国高等教育理论研究的作用,较好地为高等教育改革与发展提供了决策和咨询服务。论坛业已成为国际间高等教育学者认可的学术盛会,形成了品牌效应,受到国内外政府机构和学者的高度关注。 “高等教育国际论坛年会”汇集了国内外高等教育研究的一大批知名专家学者、各级教育行政部门和高校领导,累计有万余人次参会。论坛具有广泛的国际影响力,吸引了来自美国、德国、英国、法国、芬兰、俄罗斯、日本、越南、巴基斯坦、泰国、哈萨克斯坦、格鲁吉亚、OECD等国家(地区)和国际组织的上百位专家学者。 为培养和扶持高等教育研究新生力量,在“高等教育国际论坛年会”举办期间,从2003年起增设“高等教育学博士生论坛”,已连续举办17届。为促进国内外大学校长交流,从2020年起增设“大学校长论坛”。
